Community groups, organizations, businesses, churches, dance groups, bands, and regional cities will stroll in Downtown Mesa during this community event.

That’s right; the Phoenix Zoo’s annual 5K race is back and better than ever in 2022 because all registered participants get to see ZooLights after the race!

But we didn’t stop there…

NASA seeks young engineers to help design a new robot concept for an excavation mission on the Moon. The Lunabotics Junior Contest is open to K-12 students in U.S. public and private schools, as well as home-schoolers.

The competition, which is a collaboration between NASA and Future Engineers, asks students to design a robot that digs and moves lunar soil, called regolith, from an area of the lunar South Pole to a holding container near where Artemis astronauts may explore in the future.

The 56th Fighter Wing command team has decided to cancel the upcoming Luke Days airshow event, previously scheduled for March 19-20, 2022. 

Due to logistical and economic strain, as well as COVID-19 challenges, base leadership deemed it in the best interest of all parties to cancel the 2022 show and looks forward to overcoming these issues for future events.
