Find out what it takes to care for over 250 animals every day, why zoos are important, and learn what YOUR Zoo is doing to protect wild animals and wild places.  The adventure includes visiting the Zoo’s health center and kitchen, a behind the scenes visit with the rhino and giraffe feed. After the tour, you and your family can choose to remain in the Zoo to explore for as long as you like. Please note this is a one-hour walking tour on dirt roads.

This tour is for everyone ages 5 and older.

Is your favorite fluffy friend looking a little … stuffy?

Bring your animal friend – toys only please – to the Reid Park Zoo’s Teddy Bear Clinic! Pack up your teddy bear or other animal companion for a “check-up” while visiting the Zoo. Zoo staff and volunteers will help you measure, weigh, diagnose, vaccinate, and even bandage your animal. After visiting the receptionist, nurse, and pharmacist you will receive a Health Certificate for your friend!
