• Description: Sing, dance, and get silly during music time! Learn about

our desert creatures and make your own instrument to take home. A live animal

will inspire the tunes! This activity is followed by exclusive playtime in

Packrat Playhouse before we open to the public.

• Description: Learn about packrats through arts and crafts! Design your

own packrat house and fill it with treasure. Let a live animal inspire your

artistic side and go home with a fun prize. This activity is followed by

• Description: The saguaro cactus is an icon of the Sonoran Desert and

relied upon for food and housing by many desert animals. It’s blooming,

pollinating, and fruiting periods define summer in the desert. During story

time kids will learn all about this amazing plant! Additionally, everyone

will meet an animal and go home with a fun prize. This activity is followed

SARSEF held its 63rd annual Science and Engineering Fair at the Tucson Convention Center. About 95,000 students from southern Arizona competed to be a part of the fair and 2,117 projects were displayed at the fair.
