Date:
Sat, 03/16/2024 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm

We started National Read to a Cat Day last year with a celebration at

Bookmans East with kittens and the Cat in the Hat. This year we’ll be at

the shelter itself with guest readers, book giveaways, fun games, and

activities and lots of cats to read aloud too! With over 200 cats onsite,

there is sure to be at least one cat ready to curl up and listen.

WHAT:                 2nd Annual National Read to a Cat Day at the Hermitage

No Kill Cat Shelter & Sanctuary. We’ll have the Cat in the Hat onsite and

we hope Thing 1 and Thing 2 will make an appearance.

WHEN:                Saturday, March 16 from 2-4 p.m.

WHERE:             The Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter & Sanctuary

                                5278 E. 21st Street, Tucson, AZ

INTERVIEWS:  We hope you can visit us during this event to get photos, video

and more of families reading and playing with cats. Maybe even an adoption

(or two).  We’ll also be unveiling our new mural – created and painted by

University of Arizona art students!

                                Contact Diane Siefkes at
