Birth to 8: Join us in the children's area to get your reading log, free book, ocean-themed craft, and more!

Tweens & Teens: Join our Makerspace Mixer in the large meeting room. Drop in to meet the librarians and play with our 3D printer, Cricut Vinyl cutter, and media arts equipment. Family members welcome.

oin us in a virtual presentation from author/illustrator Dan Santat as he talks about his latest book, The Aquanaut! Dan is the author and illustrator of The Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginary Friend, which won the Caldecott Medal, along with many other titles in our collection.

Bookmans might not be an official comic book store, but that doesn’t stop us from celebrating.

May 7th is free comic book day and Bookmans Midtown (Speedway/Country Club) is ready for action! Join us from 2:00pm-4:00pm with our friends at Tucson Comic Con on May 7th and enter to win two tickets to Tucson Comic Con 2022! How well do you know comic-related trivia? Answer some questions correctly and you could win a Bookmans coupon!

Bring your animal friend – toys only please – to the Reid Park Zoo’s Teddy Bear Clinic! Pack up your teddy bear or other animal companion for a “check-up” while visiting the Zoo. Zoo staff and volunteers will help you measure, weigh, diagnose, vaccinate, and even bandage your animal. After visiting the receptionist, nurse, and pharmacist you will receive a Health Certificate for your friend!

They’re jawsome by day and even more so by night! Wind your way through the Zoo’s pathways and encounter moving, roaring lifelike dinosaurs after dark.  Don’t miss your last chance to see these towering giants before they soon leave Tucson at this send-off party with a prehistoric twist.

In addition to evening viewing of Dinosaur Discovery, enjoy an inflatable dinosaur slide, games, and interpretive stations. Stop by the Zoofari Café for a snack and uncover great finds in the Gift Shop Dino Store.
