- There is no charge to enter either contest!
- Ages K-12 may submit their original stories and poetry, or create original works of art to enter the competition
- Young Author winners receive a $100 gift certificate to the UA Campus Store and Young Artist winners receive $100 of art supplies; each are recognized at the Tucson Festival of Books on March 15, 2025.
- Deadline to submit entries is December 19, 2024 by 4:30 p.m.
Author entries may be submitted by mail or e-mail; please click the button below to view additional information and to print the form to accompany your submission. The Young Author contest is sponsored by Altrusa International of Tucson. Entries must be emailed to youngauthors@tucsonfestivalofbooks.org, or, mailed to Altrusa International of Tucson, Inc., PO Box 42801 Tucson, AZ 85733.
Artist entries must be submitted in their original form and may be dropped off at Make Way for Books, 700 N Stone Ave Tucson, AZ 85705. The Young Artist contest is sponsored by Friends of Western Art. Click the Artist button below for more information and to print your submission form.
