South Tucson, AZ—The Garden Kitchen will be hosting their 5th Annual Desert
Foods Festival, a free celebration of our local food system on Saturday,
November 4th from 10am to 2pm.
With our food demonstrations featuring wild and cultivated foods native to
the Desert Southwest, we’ll show you how to create delicious and healthy
meals! Taste and learn about foods like cholla buds, tepary beans, nopales,
mesquite flour, and prickly pear fruit that have been grown in our region for
centuries! Tour our beautiful garden, dance, and meet our community partners
at this special event.
It will be a day of food, fun, and family-friendly activities – join us!
