If you didn’t already notice the restless, wiggly students, it’s about time for summer break to start around here! We know plenty of kids who will be looking for something fun to do while trying beat the heat once school’s out.

This year Autumn came up with a plan for all the kids with cabin fever: The Mil Dil Summer Reading Club!

Here’s the deal:

• Stop by the toy store to grab your reading tracker. *Please note: the kid who is doing the challenge needs to be present!*
• Color one book on the bookshelf for every 20 minutes you spend reading. You can choose whatever you want to read yourself!
• Win a prize when you’ve colored in 15 books, 30 books, and 45 books! Come back into the toy store to show us your reading tracker and pick up your prizes.
• If you make it to 45 books, the big prize at the end is that you get to choose your very own Palm Pal! (excluding Peanuts®Brand, Spot, and Clifford the Big Red Dog) Not to mention the accomplishment you’ll feel after you realize you read for 9 whole hours… I mean, that’s pretty impressive.

This reading challenge is for kids who can read on their own, so anyone k-12 age! That’s the only restriction. We have spots for 300 kids total, so don’t dilly dally! If you love reading, we want to know!

The reading challenge ends on July 31, 2025!
