Pima County’s Diamonds in the Sky celebration is returning to Kino Sports Complex July 4 pairing two All-American favorites: baseball and fireworks. This year’s celebration will feature a match-up of college all-stars from the Sun Belt College Baseball League, a summer league featuring players from across college baseball, taking on a team featuring players from the Mexican College all-stars presented by the Mexican Baseball Fiesta.

Gates will open at 5:30 p.m.  First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., with a 30-minute fireworks display immediately following the game.

For the second year in a row the County is partnering with the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona to help raise awareness of food insecurity across the region. Admission to the game and fireworks is $1 or one non-perishable food item per person, with all proceeds benefitting the Food Bank. In 2023 the Diamonds in the Sky event partnership allowed the Food Bank to provide more than 12,000 meals to families across the region.

In addition to the action on the field, the family fun and entertainment will extend throughout the stadium with activities for kids including inflatable bounce houses, face painting, and games. Stadium concessions will also have food and drink specials with several items offered at discounted prices.
