My grandma and I had fun reading this book together. “Lucky to Live in Arizona” invites kids to write and draw in the book. Grandma says, “It tells your story.”
We talked about songs I know and things I’m good at. It asks who is my hero and what are some of my favorite animals. It made me think about what I want to be when I grow up—a construction worker—and I learned that the state butterfly is a two-tailed swallowtail. It was fun writing in the book!
At the end, it tells you how to make a time capsule. Next time Grandma comes we’re going to start working on my time capsule.
This is a book up to our standards. “Lucky to Live in Arizona” is by Kate B. Jerome.
