I recently attended the screening of the movie “Dog Man.” The screening took place at Harkins Camelview in Scottsdale. Have you heard of the new “Dog Man” movie? It is currently playing in theaters and get ready to laugh because it’s super funny.

If you haven't read the books about Dog Man, he is part man, part dog and he fights crime in the city of Lakeville. This movie is an animated version. It is really cool and has awesome graphics.

In the movie, Flippy the Fish, who is the world’s most evilest fish, comes back to life and then tries to take over the city. He does this by making buildings come to life with “live spray” and kidnapping Li’l Petey the kitten. The city people were scared and unhappy so Sarah, the new reporter, decided to call Dog Man and tell him about the evil things that Flippy was doing around town. She asked him to save Lakeville. Dog Man came up with a plan with his friends and even teams up with Petey the Cat. The ending includes a dance party with everyone. This part of the movie was interesting, funny and colorful because of the characters and comedy. The whole theater was laughing the entire time.

There were a few differences between the movie and the book, which is by author Dav Pilkey. One of the differences was the Sheriff and the Chief. In the book, they're just friends but in the movie they actually have a little crush on each other.

I liked hearing the voices of the Dog Man, Li’l Petey and the others come alive in the movie. I would tell a friend or family member to go watch it because it was really good. “Dog Man” is rated PG.
