Do you know about the Popovich Comedy Pet Theater? I saw the show in October at Fox Tucson Theatre, and it was really interesting! It was fun watching all of the pets come out and do their cool tricks. I really like animals. They are so cute, no matter what they are.
The person who is the leader of the show and who trained most of the animals is named Gregory Popovich. He has traveled to many countries doing performances to show the animals and their tricks. There were more than 25 animals that were rescued pets. They were trained and learned to be amazing stars that are now in lots of the Popovich pet shows. The show was really great and had really cool animals in it like a parrot, a lot of dogs, many cats, a cute pig, three geese, several rats, and some smaller birds that were either doves or pigeons.
There was a cool scene with several dogs, and one of the people pretending to be a teacher asked what is four plus one? He called up a dog, and the dog barked five times to tell that the answer was five! Another scene included a dog that had somehow learned to ride a scooter (I think it was a dachshund.) When they were doing jump roping, a dog started jumping over a rope like a human would normally. And there was also a circus scene with a couple of dogs and cats.
People on stage juggled and also Popovich climbed up a ladder with nothing supporting it, but he managed to balance on it the whole time. I wanted there to be fewer people on stage and more animals on stage, because it was kind of boring when the people were on stage for a long time.
Another cool skit was when a little fire truck came out and pretended to save animals from a pretend fire in an apartment. The dogs were the firefighters.
The oldest animal in the show was the parrot, and the youngest animals were four dachshunds. After the show, I got to meet a couple cats and the parrot. I hope you go see it the next time it’s in town.
