Bookmans Midtown (Speedway/Country Club) is celebrating all things Marvel on our first week of Summer Kids Events! Join us for crafts, trivia, giveaways, and cosplay fun. We will have an exclusive Marvel themed gift basket to raffle off during the event. Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) is the biggest event in the comic book industry—a single day when participating comic book specialty shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their shops! Founded on the belief that for every person out there, there’s a comic book they’ll love, the annual event offers a huge selection of free titles designed to appeal to a broad range of age levels and their tastes.

Tucson Parks and Recreation is offering a full array of indoor leisure classes and KIDCO camps this summer. Classes range from arts and crafts, Little Movers and Shakers, dance, gymnastics, jewelry making, music, sports, and more for youth and adults. Get active in a health and fitness class, learn digital photography skills, or create beautiful pottery and ceramics pieces. There truly is something for everyone.

“May the 4th be with you.” According to Star Wars.com what started as a pun warmly shared by fans has become a full-fledged Star Wars holiday: Star Wars Day, a special once-a-year celebration of the galaxy far, far away. Once the Internet allowed Star Wars fans around the world to connect with one another, May the 4th soon became a grassroots tradition each year, with fans online and offline proclaiming it “Star Wars Day.”

Free games & prizes, live music, face painting, jumping castle and food available for purchase from food trucks.
