Join Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association (TAAA) for our annual Tucson Astronomy Festival at Brandi Fenton Memorial Park. We will have Solar Observing in the afternoon and Telescope observing of planets, galaxies, nebulae, star clusters, and lots more in the evening after dark. We will also have astronomy activities for the entire family throughout the event. Youth 17 and under can be entered to win a telescope. There will be other door prizes as well. Winners must be present to win. Door prizes will be given away starting at 7 p.m. Bring your own telescope if you want help using it.

Celebrate Earth Day the Dr. Seuss way with a free outdoor screening of The Lorax!  This free screening on the UA Mall is a great event for UA students, and is also open to the general public.  Please bring your own seating.

Join Tucson Parks and Recreation for Hop-In Egg Hunt at Quincie Douglas Center, 1575 E. 36th Street, on Saturday, April 8, from 8-10:30 a.m. Kids will enjoy an egg hunt, crafts, games, and other fun activities. Primavera Online School® and Arizona PBS would like to know your predictions about the school of the future! We would like to welcome students from kindergarten through fifth grade to participate in this year’s Arizona PBS Writing Contest sponsored by Primavera.

To enter, write and/or illustrate a story that shows or takes place at a school of the future. Stories can be fact or fiction and should be submitted by Sunday, April 23, 2023.
