Tucson Mayor Regina Romero, Ward 4 Councilwoman Nikki Lee, and Tucson Parks and Recreation invite you to celebrate the completion of a new splash pad at Freedom Park, 5000 E. 29th St, on Saturday, May 3, at 10 a.m. This project was made possible through Tucson Delivers, 2018 voter-approved Proposition 407 bond funds and impact fees.

The first thing I suggest is to ride the double-decker tour bus. By riding the bus you can see many of the animals, so you know which ones you want to go and spend more time with.

Classes range from arts and crafts, music, and jewelry making, to Little Movers and Shakers, gaming, dance, gymnastics, sports, and more for youth and adults. Get active in a health and fitness class, learn digital photography skills, or create beautiful pottery and ceramics pieces. There truly is something for everyone.

Join Reid Park Zoo for a Party for the Planet! From 9 a.m. – noon, learn about the conservation efforts the Zoo supports around the world, as well as in southern Arizona. Talk to local conservation partners about their work in our community and how you can make everyday choices to help wild animals and wild places right here around Tucson. Reduce clothing going to the landfill by bringing gently used clothing with you to the Zoo for a clothing drive hosted by Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona.
