The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games were held this August and September a few weeks after the Olympics. The Paralympic Games are international sports competitions for athletes with disabilities. The word Paralympic comes from the Greek preposition “para” (beside or alongside) and the word Olympic, an adjective, meaning relating to the ancient city of Olympia or the Olympic Games.
James Patterson is a renowned writer, but of all his books, “Word of Mouse” seems to be one of the lesser known. However, it happens to be one of my favorites. Illustrated by Chris Grabenstein, the book is filled with beautiful depictions of what is happening in the story.
Mackinzie Houston Dickman is a skier who got disabled in her legs after a car accident. She learned to ski when she was only 2 years old. She absolutely despised being away from the mountains when she was in a wheelchair. She soon discovered sit skiing and loved it.
“The Wild Robot” is a children’s animation movie about a robot who gets lost while being delivered, and is now stuck in the wild. The robot is named “Roz 7134.” She finds animals while in the forest. The animals don’t like her very much, because they think she is a monster that will kill them all.
In reality, all Roz is trying to do is fulfill her task. Although, when she realizes no one wants her, she tries to go back to where she came from, but the animals won’t let her. They break her transmitter.
I had a GigaPet when I was younger and I was obsessed!! This is a great toy for younger kids especially if they don’t have any pets. This toy is so awesome because you have to be responsible with it!
With this toy you have to feed it, put it to bed, play with it and find more ways to entertain it. When I had a GigaPet I named it, which made it even more like an actual pet! There are many different colors and types, which is so fun!
There are different GigaPets to choose from. Some are bunny, pixie, kitty, puppy and frog. Some versions include three pets.
NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore will cast their ballots in the 2024 Presidential Election from space. The two astronauts are participating in early voting because they are in orbit on the International Space Station more than 200 miles above the nearest polling place. “It’s a very important duty that we have as citizens, and I’m looking forward to being able to vote from space, which is pretty cool,” said Williamsduring a news conference.
Generation Alpha, children born from 2010 onwards, are growing up in a world where social media is deeply woven into daily life. This influence is having a negative effect on their educational experiences.
One issue is the distraction social media causes in school. Constant notifications and the habit of scrolling through feeds lead to shorter attention spans and not comprehending any form of content, leaving their academic performance to spiral.
