Have you ever ridden in a car? How about a car that drives itself? Well, now’s your chance, because autonomous vehicles by Waymo One are hitting the streets!

The vehicle uses multiple cameras, sensors, and radar connected to the surface of the car for a 360degree view. By “remembering” information that it has already experienced, the car will predict what pedestrians and other vehicles will do before they do it. This way, it can drive along a predetermined route, avoiding obstacles and keeping its passengers safe.

When I went on my Italy, Greece, Montenegro and Croatia trip I got to see and learn about the world! Myself and other Girl Scouts earned this trip by selling over 6,000 boxes of cookies.

In Venice, Italy it was super cool to be able to ride in a gondola and see water all around. I’m from Arizona so it was such a different environment that I’m use to and it’s crazy to think that Venice is slowly sinking.

My older brother recently interviewed my academy’s coach, Jens Stephan. He was born in Germany, where he was introduced to fencing by a friend. He started GFA in Tucson because there were not many fencing clubs in Arizona. When he started the club, he started small at the Oro Valley Rec Center. Now, the GFA is at the Tucson Mall.
