The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift — every child except Mirabel. However, she soon may be the Madrigals last hope when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is now in danger.

“The Bookwanderers” is about how Matilda (Tilly) Pages finds out that there is more to her grandparent’s bookshop and her mother’s mysterious disappearance than she could have imagined.

When Tilly sees her favorite book characters like Alice from Wonderland and Anne of Green Gables, she finds out that she can bookwander into any book. She can use this ability to find the truth about what happened to her mother many years ago.

Representatives from a wide range of local youth sports organizations will be present and will have information regarding the youth sports and fitness programs that will be available this fall to the residents of Oro Valley and northwest Tucson. The event is free, and families can drop in at any time between 8–11 a.m..

It is anticipated that organizations that sponsor youth football, lacrosse, baseball, soccer, swimming, cheerleading, mountain bicycling, and other sports programs will be present.

  • Preschool, elementary or junior high students traveling with their teachers, as well as special needs high school students are eligible.

  • Group size is a maximum of 35 per bus or light rail vehicle; that includes students and adults.

  • One-week advance notice is necessary to receive a free Group Field Trip pass, although two weeks or more is preferable.

  • Your group can use transit for field trips at any time; the free Group Field Trip pass may only be used between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
