One of my favorite places I’ve ever been to in Arizona is the Petrified Forest National Park, which is just off of historic Route 66. In 1857, the United States government hired E. F. Veale to build a wagon road from Fort Defiance, New Mexico to the Colorado River. Beale experimented with using a Camel Corps to build the road.

The Petrified Forest is part of a natural travel corridor that has been used for over 10,000 years, and modern humans travel a similar path.

A solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth. The Moon covers the Sun from our perspective, making it look like the Sun is disappearing. What makes a solar eclipse partial is that the line between the Earth, Moon, and Sun isn't perfectly straight. Because of this, part of the Sun stays visible, giving it the appearance of a crescent.

Does your child struggle with reading? Sometimes all kids need is a Tender Little Heart to listen.

Therapy animals encourage children to read by listening quietly and patiently as your child reads from a book. Your child can bring their favorite book to read or choose one from Bookmans Phoenix. Children ages 4-9 years old are encouraged to read to a miniature horse.
